the heart behind the Hive

Christine Wooten

The Hive Dance Collective was born from a deep and enduring legacy — the grace, discipline, and joy of dance passed down from one generation to the next.Jennifer’s journey as a studio owner and teacher was shaped by the love and example of her mother, Christine, a gifted Canadian ballet dancer and devoted dance educator in Vidalia for many years. Christine’s passion for movement and commitment to her students left a lasting imprint on the community, one plié and pirouette at a time.In 2016, inspired by her mother’s footsteps and spirit, Jennifer purchased the former Vidalia Ballet. With her mother’s values at the core — excellence, creativity, and compassion — she began shaping the studio into what would become The Hive: a place where dancers of all ages are welcomed, nurtured, and challenged.Christine’s legacy is woven into every rhythm, every class, and every dancer who calls this place home. Her belief in the power of dance to inspire and uplift lives on in every movement we make.We dance because she danced first.
We teach because she taught with love.
We create because she inspired us to dream.
